Los gestos en el performance se inspiran en la gárgola. La boca sirve para la ingesta de alimentos y en la articulación de sonidos del habla. Sin embargo, cuando las mujeres usan las boquillas, o cuando la boca de la mujer se ve obligada a abrir, la boca pierde su función. De hecho, se silencia y deshabilita, las mujeres son incapaces de hablar cuando la boca se abre ampliamente. Este performance explora la cara que oculta y silencia, la vulnerabilidad, la lucha, la vergüenza y el sufrimiento a que están expuestas muchas mujeres.

The gestures in the performance are inspired by gargoyle. The mouth serves as the opening for food intake and in the articulation of sound and speech. However, when performers wear the mouthpieces, or when women’s mouth is forced to open, the mouth loses its function. In fact, it silences and disables the women because they are unable to talk when their mouths are widely pulled open. This performance explores another side of the unseen and unspoken—the vulnerability, struggle, shame, and suffering that we are uneasy to share and expose.
