"Mi padre solía decir que el cielo tiene el mismo color donde quiera que vayas”. De niña era una forma de entender la noción de igualdad. Me hace creer que las personas viven bajo el mismo cielo sin importar dónde vivan o dónde nazcan. Miles y miles de personas cruzan el mar Mediterráneo hacia Europa huyendo de la guerra, el conflicto o la persecución que exigen protección. Muchos se ahogan o desaparecen en el mar y los que entran tienen que esperar Mucho tiempo en campamentos en condiciones bajas como solicitantes de asilo.

"My father used to say that the sky has the same color wherever you go. As a kid it was a way for me to understand the notion of equality. It makes me believe that people live under the same sky no matter where they live or where are born. Thousands and thousands cross the Mediterranean Sea into Europe fleeing from war, conflict or persecution demanding protection. Many are drowned or missing at the sea and ones who enter must wait long in camps in low conditions as asylum seekers.
