De qué vive un artista? Qué salidas tiene el artista para sobrevivir en esta sociedad?

Luego de más de 20 años realizando arte, gestión cultural, investigación y difusión he recolectado un amplio panorama nacional donde he podido visibilizar aciertos y fracasos de entidades estatales y entidades privadas que facilitana apoyos para artistas o que comercializan arte manteniendo el control y la dominación sobre arte y artistas.

Igualmente he visto en diversas regiones del país como los dineros publico-estatales son manejados al antojo de los directivos de turno, dando los dineros de las ayudas, apoyos, becas a consta de favores, o a sus allegados más cercanos sin que exista una convocatoria pública que brinde mayor oportunidad e igualdad a la población en general.

Invito pues a enviar sus experiencias de región para con ello demostrar la maneras como se maneja el arte y la cultura en el país.

 

What does an artist live on? What ways out does the artist have to survive in this society? After more than 20 years doing art, cultural management, research and dissemination, I have collected a wide national panorama where I have been able to make visible successes and failures of state entities and private entities that facilitate support for artists or that commercialize art while maintaining control and domination over art and artists. I have also seen in various regions of the country how public-state monies are managed at the whim of the managers on duty, giving the monies of aid, support, scholarships consisting of favors, or their closest relatives without there being a public call that provides greater opportunity and equality to the general population. I therefore invite you to send your experiences in the region to demonstrate the ways in which art and culture are handled in the country.
